Washes with bird faces - made 20230409

These pages were drawn a day after my previous post’s, early last month at @lincolnparkzoo (I draw there a lot). I think this was the day I decided that birds' faces are a particularly fun drawing challenge for me. Something about the planes of their faces transitioning into beak or into the harsh hoods over their eyes.

It was almost two months ago now, yet the vultures and white storks are still favorite subjects to go draw.
